About

My love of writing started in the sixth grade when Mom gave me a Girl Scout diary for Christmas. Since then, over 40 years (Yikes! I can’t believe I’m that old!!) later, I still love to record my feelings and life events in journals. In 1998, I received the Center of Journal Therapy Instructor Certification. Since that time I have been able to share my passion through teaching a variety of journal writing classes both live and online. See my list of classes below.

In addition to writing, I have always had a great desire to empower. I spent several years as a social worker and in various other positions where I felt I was able to help.

I also love to make art, especially when it includes my photos. I am now combining the art with my heartwriting. More on this later.

In one of my heartwriting classes, a student told me that she loved my class because I was so passionate about my subject. I do love teaching heartwriting, watching students get excited, remember forgotten memories, and work on healing old hurts. As I said, writing and empowering have been my passions. Teaching heartwriting brings them together.

All of my classes have also been taught online. See Classes for information.
